These photos taken while finding an "easy" route to the "jagged old tree stump" in top left pic.
The tree remains here seem to be much less decayed and eroded than those at higher elevations.
Was this area or around the edges of the island perhaps submerged beneath the ancient sea for a longer period as they petrified?
